Fernando Hernández-Hernández is professor emeritus from the Cultural Pedagogies unit at the Facultad de Bellas Artes de la Universidad de Barcelona, and a member of the ESBRINA research group – Subjectivities, visualities and contemporary education environments (2021 SGR 00686) [http://esbrina.eu] and the REUNI+D – University Network for Research and Education Innovation (RED2022-134187-T) [http://reunid.eu].
Currently, Professor Hernández-Hernández participates in the European projects “Democracy meets arts: critical change labs for building democratic cultures through creative and narrative practices” – CHANGE LABS (101094217) and “EXPloring and Educating Cultural literacy Through Art” — EXPECT_Art (101132662-HORIZON-CL2- 2023-HERITAGE-01). In addition to his university work, the Professor collaborates on educational projects in schools, museums, and training networks such as the Xarxa de Competències [https://xtec.gencat.cat/ca/curriculum/xarxa-de-competencies/], which promote finding a place for all students to learn. His areas of interest include artistic research based on the arts from a performative approach, collaborative relationships between schools and museums, and disobedient pedagogies.
